Mushrooms are one of the healthiest foods that exist in the human diet. They are powerful superfoods, cancer fighters, inflammation fighters, and also have antioxidant properties that fight the negative effects of aging.
Mushrooms are a powerful superfood that humans have enjoyed likely since the dawn of humanity in Africa hundreds of thousands of years ago. In fact, chimpanzees and bonobos include mushrooms as part of their diet in the wild.
Psychedelic, psilocybin-containing mushrooms are not used for cooking, and their flavor is nowhere near as delicious as the above-mentioned mushrooms. However, the psilocybin and related mind-altering compounds in these mushrooms have been used in many ancient and modern societies as a way to expand the mind.
Psychedelic mushrooms – specifically mushrooms containing the compounds psilocybin, psilocin, and possibly baeocystin and other psychologically-active compounds – have been used for centuries as a way to alter the mind, expand consciousness, and alter perceptions.
